I've had one of these sets for over 18 months, having bought it when it first came out. At the time the spec was fine and the picture very reasonable. The market has settled down a lot since then and improvements to pictures on a number of sets have just got better and better, so this set is starting to show it's age.
I can't disagree with the review of this set, it has a lot of problems; FreeView is very grainy and there is too much motion noticeable with blu-ray. One of the worst faults I've noticed with this set is the back light, it is very uneven and so setting the picture up can be difficult. I contacted Sharp within the first twelve months about a serious banding issue, which I still have - they have ignored my calls and emails.
Sharp need to improve their TV and most of all their customer service, it stinks. There are better sets out there, don't consider this set, even if you see other reviews, I've lived with it.
