This is by far the best Optical cable I've 'heard', or I should really say: "Not heard"..., as we don't listen to cables, but to music that's reproduced by our audio 'toys'. So a good cable should make clear if one is using good or poor quality equipment, nothing more or less! I was using a 5 meter Optical HQ Silver Series cable between a HD-Televison Decoder and my quite new Yamaha RX-A3010 Receiver. As I wasn't very happy with the sound, I decided to give this cable a try and I'm very glad a did! Suddenly the bass had punch with a very detailed and stable open soundstage. There are people that argue that there can't be any difference between digital cables, because they only pass through ones and zeros, and that the type of cable is of no importance... Well this is not the first time for me that I notice a big difference between the quality of digital cables. My ears don't ly, and they are telling me that the ones and zeros reproduced through this QED cable are of the highest order!
