Sensia user reviews

Pure Digital Sensia

As it stands, the Sensia's a fine addition to your 'portable internet radio' shortlist – with its shortcomings addressed it could become the front-runner

Dont normally bother writing reviews but after buying this i felt i really had to take the time.

The ONLY redeeming quality of this radio is its sound quality.

This is a poor offering.

It takes forever to start up.

Using a non standard battery - which doesnt work after two or three 10 min sessions

The menu sucks - slow and unresponsive

Have to sign up to non free flow setting to get detailed info on internet song being played - its free on iphone TuneInapp - why not here?

Now in process of returning to Argos - no wonder it was half price.

The ChargePak is OPTIONAL, so while it's not fitted as standard, if you do buy one it will give up to 10 hours' operation on a full charge.

Sounds a lot like the Chumby, which has been around in the US for years. They've recently launched the cheaper Chumby One, which is finally distributed in the UK too! http://www.chumby.com/

If something is optional then identify it as optional in the Tech Spec section, not just either yes or no. The equipment reviewed is the basic Sensia unit at the stated price of 250.

At this price the battery is not included and so the statement on battery should be marked NO or OPTIONAL but certainly not YES.

See also the review of the Logitech Squeezebox. The review states that at the price quoted a remote is not included but the Tech Spec section states it is.

Let's have proper joined-up reviews without any contradictive statements

Please explain how, if, as stated in your tech spec section, there is no battery fitted, this non-existant battery is able to power the equipment for 10 hours (as also stated in the tech spec section).
