Just picked one up brand new boxed off ebay for £40. Arcam cd192 through Musical Fidelity X-10v3 & X-PSUv3 into AKG701'S.....Compared to my Creek OBH-21 these are a revelation digging up another layer of detail and a deeper tauter bass(understanding that the Creek were a little short at the bottom end and the AKG's need good voltage swing)...No complaints at this price.
Have one of these for about three months, and I must say that this is a tremendous improvement over my Cambridge Audio Azur 640-A headphone output. I plug in my pair of Grado�s SR-60, and get immersed in beautiful sounds. Smothness, detail, soundstage, anything you can think of is seriously improved. Considering the price (here in Portugal, I have paid 145 Euro for this headphone amp), I don't regret a single Euro spent in this equipment, since it offers a considerable upgrade over the usual headphone outputs of integrated amps, cd players, etc.
