An excellent TV: the only thing to count against it is the presence of Sony’s new, and even better, rival

And you'd be wrong, Atkantiggger.

mancub,

"not yet seen sonys new set but at 400hz will be good" is a bit of an assumption, isn't it?

Oh, and given your employment, can you please amend your signature and bio accordingly?

Well how to say this  ?

If it were a  'Sony'  i'll bet it would have got 5*

There, said it   (now for the wrath...lol)

Hi

How can you give only 4 stars when you say is a far better TV regarding motion and cross talk and dropping 1 stars due to the sound i find pretty good compare other LED set can fit speakers to they set when you give 5 stars to Sony TV 3D i don't think you done a full test you should try to watch a 3D movie and put your head on a 60 degrees down to the right or left you lost all the image turn to blur image look like you are watching the TV without any glasses and i try to play video game with fast motion like football the player was blurry all over the face please people stop make such bad review test it well before you will make people to buy the right TV and plasma will never die over LED soon will reborn because is a best technology for 3D TV

i agree themadpanner, the 3D is brilliant and probably the best you can get. with a little tweaking and a bit of hit and miss, blu-ray and games too. but there is no getting away from the fact that this screen has problems with 50hz material wich includes all PAL DVD's and all the broadcasts we get here!

I had this TV only for it to die on me after two and a half weeks! i will also say that, although this TV has a great picture is suffers from some major motion problems wich many other people are reporting even ISF calibrators now! maybe i and other people had one of a dodgy bunch who knows.

MMMMMM - i would def view (with a lots of test material) before buying this TV! i viewed it and was impressed only to be disappointed when i got it home. its great with 3D and 2D blu-ray but thats about it. roll on my order of the sony KDL-HX52903 - some time this year i hope!

that would be the KDL-52HX903! HA HA

All I'd say to anyone interested in this TV is GO and look at the picture and try the 3D for YOURSELF, Don't believe all you read in reviews, they should be used as a general guide only.

Then go and compare it with the Sony's and the (Unreliable)Samsung's. I did, and in my opinion the TX-P50VT20 was easily the best for 3D. The 3D glasses need to be re-designed as they just don't sit nicely on your face, and who cares about the TV's audio quality when most buyers of this sort of TV already have an expensive Surround sound system.

I already own a older Panasonic PX80 series Plasma TV and I can honestly say it's by far the best TV I've ever owned for watching Movies on; Gaming with my PS3 looks pretty darn good as well, super sharp and with zero lag.

I have never seen a Sony that is better than any Panasonic mainly because they continue to use the inferior LCD system, so why is it going to be better now all of a sudden, and as far as the 3D viewing goes, once again Plasma is superior to LCD so how can the Sony rate higher, very confusing review.

i work 4 an electrical company which specialises in tvs, seen plasmas blur something chronic including panasonics and seen 100hz led's cope perfectly, not yet seen sonys new set but at 400hz will be good. as for panasonic seeing as how they cant even better the pioneer of two years ago dnt know why you think its so good?

you are right it is an assumption to say the sony is good as i havnt seen it yet however i wasnt saying it was a bad set just a comment to someone else rubbishing lcd/led i have seen the panna displaying animation in 3d but i mainly game n most are 50hz some 60hz, 2d kuro is better but not by much

this is the only Tv which can really do 3D justice , movemeny is better , blacks are better and there is no image echoes that you get with 3D on Lcds.

brillant telly the sony is on par with it in performance but in darker scenes (if you`re a horror fan) go for the panny.

the sound isnt really an issue if you`ve got your own system (amp one box system)

check out the panasonic website then go onto the awards section where this tv is listed

razorgrass the review and the video suggest it handles motion well.

by the way if you`ve already got a amp or one box system why bother with the sound? after looking and seeing for myself, in comparison to the sony when it comes to darker scenes the panny is better on par with everything else though.

The forums Panasonic fan club will not be amused. This TV was supposed to be the first one ever to get 6 stars.........even before any of them had seen it, only 4 stars hahaha!!

The Panny is simply stunning with 2 & 3D, sure the audio is not up to the latest Philips but I have had a Sony 52PZ4500 and that was pretty dour. Motion handling is stunning on 1080p, but a bit suspect on Freesat HD, and the blacks? as a B/W set the picture when setup is to my mind the best  GREY SCALE I have ever had on a color TV. Long live Panny, plasma & 3D.

While Panasonic TX-P50V20 awarded as 50+ best buy, they give 4 to this Panasonic TX-P50VT20. What HiFi provided funny reviews. You can prefer Sony but you need not to de-grade Panasonic to prove yourself.

Panasonic better in 3-D (darker) than sony; but 3-D glasses can be better.
