Panasonic fans might appreciate the simplicity of the ’G15, but it’s outclassed by test rivals

I have owned this TV since August 2009 and while I would agree with some of the points made in the review I still think this is an excellent TV and 3 stars is perhaps a little harsh. I have friends with LCD's from sony and samsung in a similar price range and I would say this TV has much better black levels and is much better for watching sport and movies. Colours look much richer and the picture more natural and less computer graphic like. My only critism's are the image could be slighly sharper, I think PS3 games look slightly better on an LCD and its not the most attractive looking TV.

I would probably give this telly 4.5* and wouldn't let WHF review put you off buying it, it gets great reviews elsewhere, I did a lot of research before buying.

after a lot of research inc. your best buys i narrowed my list down to four sets from four different manufactures Samsung,Philips,LG & Panasonic All sets were between 46" & 50" at first i was smitten by the Philips the looks and the picture were spot on very sharp as were the Samsung & LG LED's the Panasonics always looked a little flat in comparison but these were always in retail park outlets where only certain brands were running HD content (Samsung,LG)The Panasonics SD and sharing the feed with 50 other sets. I thought the Pansonics can't be that bad all this talk of Pioneers tech been passed down. went to a hi-Fi AV dealer and saw three of the sets on my shopping list and the Panasonic TX-P 50G 20B i viewed was a revalation SD, HD, Blu Ray all were top notch quality the Dark Knight watched on My Mates new Sony 40" LCD (there is clouding issues but i didn't have the heart to tell him)were blown out of the water when compared to the Panasonic no blur in action scenes great depth of field, switced to on the ball and the rugby and again rock solid images. the LG was ok the Philips better but the Panasonic was the one for me and the wife and she usually says "they all look the same to me" i know the G20 is a different model to the one above but i can't see a recent review where you have given a Panasonic a 5 ***** Review but a Sony with it's clouding issues as I have witnessed 5*****!!!
