Superb build quality and presentation.

Overall an excellent sound but not best suited to Cyrus.  Bass lacks the presence and oomph factor to compensate for the almost clinical detail of Cyrus kit, which makes the Cyrus kit Ideasound[/I] thin in the bass to begin with.  They also need a bit more volume to get them moving compared to, say, ProAC Studio 140s, which I've just replaced the Mezzo 6's worth.  If you have Cyrus kit, therefore, you might want to look elsewhere.

I didn't audition ny classical, as such, but the Damien Rice and Bjork tracks both have strings. The Mezzos reproduced them with flair and resonance. Goosebump enducing.

How are they with classical music??

i tried these with roksans last generation amp and cdp (Kandy mk111 and L3). i listened to them in the demo room of the local dealer for a good couple of hours and the more i played them, the better they sounded. The bass is consistent and tight as a drum, the mid range and treble had an open sound, effortless in it's delivery. I tried a variety of musical genres (which i will list later), and the mezzo's surpassed my expectations in every one.

The things that impressed me most were the vocals and the drums. While playing Peter gabriel's 'here comes the flood', which is a beautiful song featuring just Gabriel and a piano/keyboard, You can hear all the idiosynchroses of his voice. Gave me goosebumps.

I've found with all other (admittedly cheaper) speakers that i've had in the past, drums have never had any texture, have never sounded real. However, with the mezzo's, while playing Queens of the stone age's 'no-one knows', Dave Grohl's drums sound live and have the texture and reverberation that i have found lacking in other speakers.

I really can't heap enough praise on these speakers, they're amazing.

track's played in demo room:

1. Queens of the stone age- no-one knows

2. Peter Gabriel - hers comes the flood

3. Peter Gabriel - Don't give up (w/Kate Bush)

4. Damien Rice - The blower's daughter

5. Richard Marx - Hazard

6. Alanis Morrisette - Mary Jane

7. Chris cornell - You know my name

8. Bjork - Pagan poetry

9. Audioslave - Cochise

10.
