I've paired these with an Onkyo SR507 with Cambridge Audio Symphany cable and i'm very happy. I tried the Q-Acoustics 1010i and found the bass to be muddy. The nearest competitor to these was the KEF 2005, but i found they weren't as dynamic and just lacked something special about them.

For films these are great, very rich sounded and rumbling bass with great mid and treble. The only slight issue i have is the bass is still not as punchy as i'd like, but maybe that's my amp??
