According to messages on the Head Fi forums, these are the UK-only versions of the "Victor HP-500FX" which are available elsewhere (from 2005 aactually). Guess what? The Victors are available to you and I for around £100!!! "Rip-off Britain" rules KO.
According to one forum, JVC UK has sheepishly admitted to the scandalous pricing. It's a pity you have to look in every nook 'n' cranny to root out such caddish behaviour. How about WHF doing an investigation into such clone-pricing???
