i've bought this pair of speaker, and all i can say that this speaker is awesome, good sound quality and superb but controlled bass.
however there's something bothering me a little about this speaker,
if i turn it on, set any range of the volume, but don't play any music, i hear a small noise coming out from the speaker, it is very small noise that i can barely hear it only if there's no other sound around me.
is that kind of noise normal?
or maybe someone from WHF can explain about this situation, other than that, this is a perfect pair of active speaker though.
Overall a great set of speakers but in terms of their ability to stream music from a PC there is definitely room for improvement.
They connect to my home network effortlessly but at times can prove frustrating to use. I frequently get a "Browse request failed" error message which results in me having to turn the speakers on and off again. This occurs when I have finished playing a play list and i try to navigate back to the music menu. I would be interested to know if others are having the some problem. The display will occasionally tell me that a song is playing but no sound is coming from the speakers this also results in a reboot.
I have not experienced any problems when using an ipod or the AUX.
The sound that the speakers produce is excellent the bass is weighty and precise, Massive Attacks Atlas Air sounds fantastic and has me covered in goose bumps. In order for the speakers to sound their best they need to be played LOUND [crank the volume to at least the half way mark].
If you plan to use then in a small room, or you are your not going to make use of the streaming or, if you want to use them on a desk with a PC forget about it, buy the minis instead. Otherwise you have a fab buy.
Throw in 80 for a set of speakers stands and I dont think you will be able to play uncompressed audio from your PC at this sound level of sound quality for less.
