Ecosse CS2.3MKII
A decent offering, but there are better cables to be had for just a few pennies more

We tested the original CS2.3 speaker cable in October 2007 and gave it a respectable four-stars at the money (£3/m).
This new version claims 50 per cent more copper conductors and comes with an elevated price tag to boot.
A decent period of running helps to ease the initial harshness of the treble, but it doesn’t completely calm the over-enthusiastic character of the cable.
Detail levels are respectable enough for the money, as is the amount of bass weight on offer.
However, the top cables around this price-point, from the likes of Chord and QED, give greater refinement across the board.
