Does anybody have any idea of how the arcam solo mini would match a set of Audiovector mi1 avantgarde speakers? I am running on a very tight budget, but have a great offer at hand to buy these speakers and the arcam solo mini, so I just want to make sure that I will get a good sound system. My interest is mostly on the vocals, jazz sounds, brightness....
I bought the Arcam Solo Mini after owning the Denon D-M37DAB for a while and as good as the Denon is for the money the Arcam blows it out of the water, particularly in terms of dynamic drive. I read elsewhere here that opinion is not so glowing but I would not recommend it's use with Muso speakers as whilst they are clean sounding they do lack "grunt". Try Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 or as I have the EB Acoustics EB1.Also the clock on mine works fine! I listened to a lot of kit before plumping for the Arcam and only the Linn Classik at 1400 and the Naimuniti at 1995 offered any real competition!!
