Yamaha unleashes new receiver, Blu-ray players and systems

New from Yamaha over the next couple of months is a whole raft of new AV equipment, including a high-end £1100 AV receiver, the RX-V2065, and two new Blu-ray players.
The company's also launching two new Digital Sound Projector one-box surround solutions, two all-in-one systems using the DSP speakers, and a stereo micro system complete with built-in iPod dock.
The RX-V2065 has five HDMI inputs and two outputs, complete with 1080p upscaling, Yamaha's ultra-low jitter PLL circuitry for optimised audio, YPAO automatic set-up and calibration, and the company's Cinema DSP 3D with 17 DSP programmes.
It delivers 7x130W, decodes all current HD audio formats, has full network capability with internet radio and streaming and DLNA device support, and also a USB port for portable audio players and flash drives.
In addition, iPods can be connected using and optional YDS-11 dock, and Bluetooth capability can be added with the YBA-10 option
Other facilities extend to Yamaha's Digital ToP-ART and High Current Amplification topologies, and the improved user-interface uses the company's Scene buttons for quick set-up for specific sources.
The two new Blu-ray players are the £550 BD-S1900 and £450 BD-S1065, the former styled to match the high-end Yamaha receivers, the latter to go with the company's midrange models.
Both offer BD-Live and BonusView, and have full HD decoding with 7.1-channel analogue outputs.
The receiver is on sale next month, with the BD players coming in December.

Now Pioneer plasma have come to an end. I am in the market for a new 50" plasma is there going to be any new models out this year, as there is nothing on the market to compare with PDP-5090.
