Sony has increased some of its prices since this article was first published.

The tricky thing is that TV manufacturers can only give us 'guide prices', they're not allowed to set an RRP, so retailers can, in effect, sell the TVs at whatever price they like.

The Sony KDL-40HX803 we tested in August is now £1800, so the price you've quoted for the '46HX803 may well be right.

read your article and the above mentioned blog with interest...

funny how my local (colchester) sony centre and also john Lewis seem to add on a healthy dose of 'quid' above the quoted prices! Sad

Example; john lewis have the Bravia KDL46HX803 for sale at 2199. however sony would have one believe it's obtainable at 1600. Thats like 600 quid extra!!!!!!

What gives?

Where can i get one at the real price?
