This hefty hunk of wire is the new King Constrictor II mains cable from British company True Colours Industries.

Aimed at high-end systems and selling for £250 for a 1m length, it's based on the technology of the company's flagship Boa Constrictor cable, and uses a total of 16 silver-plated copper conductors.

It's of a split-braid twin-earth construction, and is said to filter out noise from the mains supply, and reduce incoming and outgoing radiated noise. The results, TCI says, include "more detail, bigger soundstage, better dynamics and a deeper and fuller bass.

"Because of the quieter noise floor, low level detail is also improved, as is the portrayal of microdynamics. Visual  displays can also benefit."

The cable is terminated with a rhodium-plated 13A plug and IEC connector, and the cable comes in lengths from 1m to 2.5m.

no offence but im guessing anyone who doesn't hear the difference between a £30 interconnector and a £60 one , have either poor equpment or bad hearing !

i have noticed immediate improvements on more expensive mains cables and interconnectors !

obviously start at the source i.e(cd player, bluray player etc.

When i don't hear a difference between a cheap versus expensive interconnect, then how can anyone hear a difference with a main cable??? How can 1 m very good cable or more metres make up for all the electric wires running in your house?? For those who want to waste their money on cables go ahead but professors say you won't hear a difference with a good cheap audio cable, main, interconnect or speaker cable versus ean expensive one. It's the never ending discussion between those with technical knowledge and those audiophiles that won't take good advice from them.

How end a system has to be in-order to hear the ever so slight difference, if there is one? Honestly can some say a price. 25k? 50k?
