Monitor Audio launches Monitor Music download service

With the likes of Linn and B&W already offering music content for the discerning downloader, Monitor Audio has seen fit to join the party, with Monitor Music.
The service sees the manufacturer partner with 33 Records and Koolworld Studios to offer the first release from versatile singer Zoe Galant.
Monitor Audio promises more music releases through the site and is currently offering two free downloads from the Zoe Galant album Long Time Coming as a taster.
Available in FLAC, AIFF or MP3 192kbps – 320kbps next time please! – head over to the Monitor Music website to get hold of them.
Releases can be previewed online, then downloaded or purchased on CD, if the Zoe Galant release is anything to go by.
We're waiting on further details on Monitor Music and will report back as soon as we have more news.

Thanks, MA!
We need more hi-res music downloads!
re aiff - it does not seem to store artwork etc with it in itues, so with the MA offer of 320kps or aiff we are stuck with a choice: no artwork OR hi res.
(How) Can we get both?
Enjoying music via MA speakers, BTW.
Zoe does indeed Jazz it up!!!
Just to clarify: Aiff was a file format which was co-developed by Apple, it will work perfectly well in i-tunes and through your i-pod.
Thank you for highlighting the mp3 compression bit rate. This was an error and has been amended to 320kbps.
Expect further musical updates very soon for your Enjoyment.
just tried the free tracks. aiff does play on itunes.
both mp3 and aiff (free) tracks have no track info with them, album name or artwork - had to input those manually. Hopefully this is just teething problems.
That is very interesting. is this the start of proliferation of high quality downloads?
however, to compete with the likes of itunes and amazon MA got to offer bitrates higher than 192!
Does itunes/ipod play aiff?
Zoe Galant rocks! (Well, jazzes, actually)
