LG has announced UK availability of its LF7700 TV range, its first to incorporate integrated Freesat.

The new LCD models are available in 32in, 37in, 42in and 47in screen sizes, and also have four HDMI inputs. USB2.0 sockets, an Ethernet port for internet TV applications and sound tuning by 'Mr' Mark Levinson.

The TVs also have the company's Intelligent Sensor II technology, which both optimises the picture for the ambient light conditions and saves power – the company claims the new models use "up to 69.5 per cent less power than a standard TV".

The styling combines a high-gloss finish with red detailing, LED lighting and soft-touch power button, together with the company's Invisible Speaker system, and that all-important audio tuning. LG's Clear Voice dialogue enhancement is also on offer.

Dynamic contrast is quoted at 50,000:1, the sets are all 1080p 24p Deep Colour capable, and the larger screens – the 42in and 47in models – also have 100Hz TruMotion.

The Ethernet port can connect the TVs to internet services, and the USB 2.0 port can stream MP3 music or JPEG pictures from a portable device.

The new LF7700 range goes on sale this month.

Both good comments and questions, but probably best addressed to LG...

Why would you want to stream mp3 files to your tv just to use the tv speakers?

They should be streaming video files like Sony and better still Samsung which plays mkv files.

GET RID OF THE GLOSS PLEASE?
