IFA NEWS: LG launches slimline small-screen TVs with built-in DVD player
4 Sep 2009

LG LU7000
New from LG is the LU7000 series of small-screen TVs with built-in DVD playback. Aimed at smaller rooms and second-set use, the TVs come in a choice of 19in and 22in models, and hit the shops this month.
The sets have integrated Freeview, and are kept slim by the use of LG's 'invisible speakers'.
Two HDMI inputs are provided for external devices, along with two Scarts, and there's also a USB2.0 port, from which the TV can play JPEG picture files and MP3 music.
A major part of the design of the LU7000 was the reduction of energy consumption, and the sets come with Energy Saving Recommended credentials.

BeoVision 7, boss - the BD player is an extra-cost option, and yes I think it may be a tad harder on the pocket than the LU7000
B&0 produces a TV - the Beovision 6-40, I believe - with built-in Blu-ray. Probably a touch pricier than the LG, though....
I'm sure as the price of BD drives falls such TVs will start to appear - and NO NEED TO SHOUT!
ANY CHANCE OF GETTING AN LCD WITH A BUILT IN BLU-RAY DRIVE .
