IFA NEWS: Epson launches complete new range of LCD projectors

The new products are evenly-placed throughout the standard range of budgets, from the flagship EH-TW5500 costing £3,899, down to the HD-ready EH-TW450 at a very reasonable-looking £649.
In fact, Epson has gone one step further in its attempt to show how affordable (and easy) owning a projector can be - with the portable, DVD-player-and-speakers-included EH-DM3 (only £579). One for the kids perhaps, but certainly a worthy step towards dispelling the still-common idea that 'projector equals complicated'.
The EH-TW5500, along with the EH-TW440 (£2,999), uses Epson's 3LCD technology, which produces a very high contrast ration of 200,000:1, while also maintaining the high brightness for which high-end LCD machines are known.
And with additional features such as a proprietary 'frame interpolation' technology, and a Super resolution' setting, we look forward to getting in the new Epson projectors for a series of full reviews.
