All this money off for trade ins is crazy, why not just drop the prices for a few months, people will be buying second hand ones to get the money off!!
The only salvageable bit for cyrus is the alloy case which is why I guess its only the Cyrus3 onwards and so i'd imagine they are re-using the old cases, or melting them down, I guess magnesium alloy isn't cheap.
Why only Cyrus 111 onwards? I might have been tempted to finally change my Cyrus One.
Well i was tempted to upgrade my Aca7 pre amp...... but when you realise Cyrus's last pre amp was only 600, the new pre amp price of 1300 seems way over the top.
Are Cyrus just plucking numbers out of the air ????
A surprising price rise on the 8vs2 at the time of a drop in VAT rate follwed by the model's demise. It's replacement is a massive rise in price, albeit withon board DACs, etc., but lo and behold, 900 discount on the new model if you trade in an old model! Great if you've got one but hardly likely to entice you to buy one when you haven't given the 900 premium!!! Oh well, time to look at another make I guess! Odd pricing policy at a time of a credit crunch?!
It's not such a good deal if you have an 8vs2. Are the amps upgradeable or do they have to be swapped over?
I'm delighted with this offer.I was looking to change my Cyrus iii and DAD3Q cd player but my dealer wouldn't do a trade on my cd player.I think I'll buy 8XPd Qx and use the DAC to bring my cd player back to life.
